That Butt Stuff™ - The beginning.....
I was preparing for a ride, applying a popular brand of chamois cream to the usual areas. For some reason I decided to look at the ingredients: Water, I'm ok with that, Mineral oil and many things that I can't pronounce. I didn't like that. I started researching more natural alternatives and found prices that I was unwilling to pay for an item I use a lot of. My wife and I have been making and selling soap & lotion for years, so I formulated a recipe for my own anti-chafing cream using ingredients that I didn't mind putting on my sensitive areas. I did discover that preservatives are needed, so I found the friendliest preservative available and still have an affordable product. Many batches were made and I tried them all (except the one that looked like cottage cheese). A good consistency was finally achieved, so I started my animal testing (my friends). After a months of testing and some very good feedback, I decided I needed to name this stuff. My wife and I batted ideas around for weeks. Then one night while lying in bed, rambling on about butt cream names, my wife says, "are you still talking about that butt stuff?" And I said, "That's it, That Butt Stuff! That's the name!" I forget what she said after that, but I'm sure if was OH-NO, but now it's all a blur and That Butt Stuff is making butts happy from coast to coast in the United States and Canada. I am sponsoring athletes from cyclists to motocross racers, to roller derby queens!
